Over the past few days, I've spent some time driving around (mostly getting lost) trying to figure out how to get everywhere. After living in Dallas for as long as I can remember, I was surprised to find just how close I was to everything. I am literally minutes away from the beach, downtown, Sea World, the Zoo, Balboa Park, Qualcomm Stadium, and all of the shopping and dining you could possibly want.

Below is a map of the area near where I live. I've marked where I live in red and added some arrows to specific points of interest. In the top left of the map, there is a street called Grand Ave. That is where I will be working. Just off the beach. An inch on the map is about 1 to 1.5 miles.
